Bellevue Alumnae Chapter - Farwest Region
The Bellevue Alumnae Chapter is the 800th chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. It was formed on January 28, 1989, seventy-six years after the founding of the first chapter on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC in 1913. The goal of this chapter is to provide support to communities of color in King county and the greater Seattle area. We serve communities on the eastside of Lake Washington, as far North as Bothell and as far south as Auburn and Federal Way. We also lend support to our sister chapters, the Seattle Alumnae Chapter and the Tacoma Alumnae Chapter.
Bellevue Alumnae Chapter has been involved in several comprehensive public efforts through the Five Programmatic Thrust of the National Organization to support the social, education and political systems in the communities in which we serve.
